Turbo Air Intermittent Cooling question

If it’s is the wrong sub I apologize up front and welcome ideas on where to kick it. I couldn’t find a better fit

Turbo Air Two Door Commercial Fridge Model M3R47-2 Serial K3R41B1028

Issue: Cooling is intermittent. When functioning correctly it will cool below freezing if I set it that low but there are times it will hang out and the display temp will go up into the 50’s and low 60’s. When this happens I hear what are likely the internal air flow circulation fans running but I do not hear the compressor. Usually it will eventually kick in and cool and be normal for 24-xx hours. Not sure if this has any bearing but the automatic coil cleaning process seems to run after long intervals because when it does finally happen there will be a lot of dust balls on the inside of the fridge and on top of the covered containers. I have gotten lucky in the past and unplugged the unit, let it sit a few minutes then plug It back in and the compressor kicked in and began cooling but it does not seem to be repeatable. This started early December, seemed to go away through Christmas/New Years, but has started back as of 1/6/22. Unit was placed in service approximately early 2016.

Any ideas on self-troubleshooting or basic maintenance that can be performed by an owner? I do not claim to be any kind of refrigeration technician and will call in a repair person if required.
