UK: Facilities management company Arcus FM has appointed Mark Woods, the former joint MD of refrigeration contractor Space Engineering, as managing director.
The move follows the investment by ESO Capital in February, which allowed Arcus to become independent from Sainsbury’s.
In a further appointment, Patrick Macdonald has been appointed as the new non-executive chair of the company.
Mark Woods, current president of the British Refrigeration Association, left Space Engineering last year after more than 20 years with the Bristol-based company. Joining as a troubleshooting and commissioning engineer in 1997, Woods held many engineering and management positions including technical director, service director and in 2013 he became joint MD.
Macdonald joined Arcus FM at the end of last month and has previously held senior executive roles at blue-chip companies including Unilever, Boston Consulting Group, GE and John Menzies. He is currently a non-executive director for several B2B service businesses including managed print provider CCS and call answering service Moneypenny.
