Unit not cooling but hoods temp at 60 F it's a R-134a compressor unit. System had a new evaporator installed over a year ago.. All the compressor starting components checks out. Owner added refrigerant to try and ger it to cool more but didn't work either.. I removed all refrigerant and vacuumed system and weighed in charge. But pressures seem low at 6-9 psig with a relatively mild losd. And kitchen temp around 80F. There is no high side pressure access valve The compressor starts no LRA ...6.7 amps rated at 7 checked windings all good.
Soom after the Carel control module started displaying an E1 error code for a bad probe sensor. Replaced sensor it still saying its not working. Replaced the module and yet compressor still does the same thing. I assumed the controller was the cause of my issue but now that i swapped it seems like we're back to square one.. Only thing I can think of is a restriction in the cap tube. Any other ideas? Compressor runs approximately 3 mins...then shuts off. Low side pressure rises to about 40psig then system comes back on....repeat...
