Virtual Chillventa set to open with 200 exhibitors

GERMANY: The first ever online version of Chilventa, Europe’s leading refrigeration and air conditioning exhibition, opens next week with around 200 companies booked to appear.

Cancelled like so many other exhibitions due to the Covid-19, the international community of refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump experts, who normally come together in Nuremberg for the biennial Chillventa show, will now gather online for the Chillventa eSpecial.

The Chillventa eSpecial will run 13 to 15 October 2020, the original dates of the cancelled event,  will include the Chillventa Congress on the first day to be followed by a high-calibre programme of presentations on the second and third days.

In addition, the event includes virtual stands from around 200 exhibitors offering a range of promotional activities, videos and product information, an integrated chat function, and the possibility of arranging one-to-one video meetings.

The organiser says it aims to transfer as many aspects of a Chillventa trade fair as possible into the virtual world. It offers a large number of communication tools between all participants, and a matchmaking system.

Chillventa Congress

The virtual version of the Chillventa Congress will cover a range of topics in English and German:
Sixth Innovation Day for Refrigeration Technology (TU Dresden, DKV and IZW)
Energy-efficient air conditioning in data centres (DKV)
Heat pumping technologies for commercial and industrial applications (IZW)
ASERCOM + EPEE Symposium “Time for Change”

Three parallel presentation series on days 2 and 3 will focus on sharing knowledge with experts.
The many presentations, round tables, web sessions and discussion rounds will look at innovative solutions and new product developments involving components, systems and applications.
Key topics will include illegal refrigerants, total energy efficiency, low-GWP refrigerants, R717 with reduced filling, safety with virtual tools, heat pumps and Covid-19-related discussions.

The “onboarding” registration process has already begun. Up to today (10/10/20), just over 5000 participants had registered.
