CHINA: Carrier China is to provide chillers, heat pumps and IAQ solutions to the Guangzhou Respiratory Centre, a multi-functional medical facility planned to open in summer 2021.
Located in Guangzhou’s Liwan district, the Guangzhou Respiratory Centre will be equipped with 1,200 beds and will be the site of clinical trials, scientific research and education. The project covers nearly 85,000m2, with a total construction area of more than 193,000m2 and a total investment of nearly RMB 2bn ($305m).
In addition to the chillers and heat pumps, Carrier China will provide solutions available through Carrier’s Healthy Buildings Programme to help improve indoor air quality in the centre. The Healthy Buildings Programme consists of an expanded suite of IAQ solutions from products and remote services to manage ventilation in buildings to touch-less solutions in public spaces.
At the Guangzhou Respiratory Centre, Carrier China will provide thousands of advanced airside products with UV light, which can greatly improve indoor air quality. Carrier will also provide water-cooled and air-cooled chillers and cooling-only and heat pump technology.
