Didn’t let my mini fridge stand before plugging it in

So I bought a new mini fridge and plugged it in while it was standing upright for about 15 minutes. It ran for a few seconds before I remembered I should let it stand. It was humming pretty loudly. Did I ruin my mini fridge?
