Having made the switch from 404a to 448a, I’m noticing that systems that would normally take between 6-9 lbs of 404 are taking 14-16 lbs of 448a before getting good subcooling and a clear sight glass.
The data sheets from Honeywell say that a 5% increase in system charge is to be expected but I’m finding that to be quite an understatement.
Is anyone else noticing this or is my belief that DuPont is a fundamentally corrupt corporation getting the better of me?
