Alright so my dad and I have been silently fighting over what temperature the fridge should be set to. The dial goes from 1 (warmest) to 5 (coldest). I set it to 3 because that’s what the recommended setting is on the inside of the fridge (about 37 degrees Fahrenheit). My dad constantly sets the fridge to 1 because he’s “trying to save money” and doesn’t care about the food in the fridge going bad more quickly (which we would have to spend more money on to replace but I digress). So I guess my question is two parts: what setting do you recommend the fridge should be set to and how much money do you think we approximately save per month by setting it to 1?
