BELGIUM: Andrea Voigt is stepping down as director general of EPEE to take up the position of vice president, head of group public affairs and sustainability at Danfoss.
Voigt, who has been head of EPEE, one of the leading voices of the refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump industry in Europe, since 2009, will remain in office until the end of June, joining Danfoss on July 1.
“These past 11 years leading EPEE were a truly enriching experience, both from a personal and from a professional perspective,” Andrea Voigt, “But 11 years is also a very long time. I have decided that I have arrived at a point in my career where it’s the right moment to move on and to take up a new challenge.
“Of course, EPEE continues to be very important and the transition phase will allow us to ensure perfect continuity while looking for an adequate successor,” she added.
Martin Rossen, Danfoss’ senior vice president, head of group communication welcomed Voigt’s arrival: “With her industry knowledge and international profile, Voigt will be a strong force in public affairs in Danfoss. In the light of the megatrends present in the world, the products and solutions of Danfoss have never been more relevant.”
Andrea Voigt joined EPEE – The European Partnership for Energy and the Environment – in 2009, succeding Friedrich Busch, who had been head of EPEE since its foundation in 2000.
Nearly 30 years in the industry, Voigt joined chemical company Rhone Poulenc in 1993 as sales manager, moving to join UK subsidiary Rhodia (now Climalife) in 1998 as marketing manger, with responsibility for Isceon refrigerants.
In 2001, Voigt left to form her own PR and translation company operating in the HVACR sector in Germany and France.
