Hi, I would like to have a better knowledge on conditions of the system in typical refrigeration plant.
Lets say we have a cold room , operated at constant 0-2 degree celsius - here I reckon the evaporation temperature of refrigerant is constant about 10K below room temp in case of a fin&coil exchanger (depends on air volume through coil).
Then we have a air cooling tower /evaporative condenser on the condensing side. System works with one stage fixed speed compressor.
Now in case of variable speed drive It would modulate the compressor speed to adjust the condensing temperature at constant delta T higher than ambient, but how does it works with fixed speed?
How is the compressor controlled?
Does in this case the compressor run full speed and pushes for higher condensing temperature until it reaches the thermostat temperature in the cold room? Or does it have a pressure it wants to maintain as a set point? How varied the condensing temperature is throughout the year?
I want to estabilish a yearly load profile for the condenser, therefore I need to know how does a system normally work, to be able to convert capacity table into kWh for a period of time
Any advice is welcome! Thanks
