Hi there,
Not a refrigeration expert but curious to understand more about RDC control.
Do refrigerated display cabinet circuits purely rely on temperature to instigate the compressor/cooling cycle or is there more to it than that?
Where are the temperature sensors normally located and are the sensors pretty standard across cabinets/brands or do they differ significantly?
With defrost cycles, what is the trigger to initiate that? A temperature probe on the evaporator coil?
I wanted to know if I could replace a temperature sensor in an RDC with a microcontroller attached probe to effectively alter the behaviour of the RDC by varying the effective temperature 'seen' by the control board. Wondering if that assumption is a bit too simplistic.
