Hi guys. I'm putting together a heat pump from scrap parts. And I have a question if I should put receiver after condenser or it will be fine without it.
I have a plate heat exchanger (condenser) in the basement. Heating water. The outside unit with the evaporator and compressor is outside and like 2 meters up.
The question is. Should I put some kind of liquid receiver after that condenser before the liquid riser? Or will liquid behave well and flow nicely even without a receiver? It is just a small system 4kW heating capacity equivalent. I cannot see any clear guides in any papers.
