So, I live in a big house, my parents and almost all of my brothers. So in total around 20-25 people. The house is not small by any means either. However, power consumption from all the fridges we have to run can be quite exorbitant. My brother and I are thinking of making a cold room out of retro fitted box trucks coolers. Planning to use sandich insulation behind the cement blocks and use some other sort of insulation between the two to keep things relatively controlled. We might have to find or retro fit a box truck door as a way of insulation too but that comes later in the thinking process. Right now the main thing is will this idea actually work? Not me nor my brother are engineers by any stretch of the imagination but you never know what the brain might say. I need advice right now, Box truck coolers to make cold room, good idea or bad idea?
