Refrigeration vs HVAC

I've been in hvac for about 2 years. I have experience with maintenance, install, and service of hvac equipment. Theres still a lot I need to learn as far as the hvac portion of the trade in order to be a full fledged service tech. I just got a new job doing hvac maintenance/service as well as learning the refrigeration side of things. My question is what should I expect for doing commercial refrigeration vs commercial hvac? What refrigerants are typically used? I'm assuming electrical components are basically the same as far as contractors, capacitors, relays, motors, compressors etc. I would really like to be a dual tech who can do both sides of the trade but I'm a bit lost on what I should be focusing on to improve.
