Hi. Hoping I can get some help. I have a GE chest freezer that worked when I unplugged it 4 months ago. I just went today and cleaned it up and plugged it back in but there is no sound coming from the compressor. I hear no fans and feel no vibration. I’ve had it on for about 30 minutes. I’m wondering if this is typical and whether or not the compressor will eventually come on. Also, what about simply unplugging it for a few months would cause it to not work/turn on?
I know nothing about fixing things like this. There’s a panel. Should I open it? Is there a switch or a fuse maybe? The freezer came with the house when we moved in back in February.
