UK: Daikin UK will be selling the benefits of heat pumps to visitors to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew this autumn.
The Japanese manufacturer’s UK subsidiary will be supporting the garden’s brand-new Japan Festival from Saturday 2 October to Sunday 31 October.
While visitors to Kew Gardens will be invited to immerse themselves in the art, plants and culture of Japan, experts from Daikin will be on hand to educate visitors about the role heat pumps have to play in the future of home heating. Key Daikin products will be featured in an interactive mobile showroom at the Brentford Gate entrance to the Gardens.
“Since our business was founded in Japan nearly 100 years ago, our mission has been to create home climate control solutions that meet the needs of any home and every lifestyle. And we want to do that while caring for the environment and protecting future generations, something that aligns closely with Kew’s ethos,” said Daikin UK MD Angela McGinlay.
McGinlay said that the initiative would enable the company to engage directly with Kew’s audiences – “Introducing them to the benefits of air source heat pump technology and encouraging them to make the transition, sending more leads into our installer base in the process.”
The Japan Festival will take place in Kew’s Temperate House as a celebration of Japanese culture, which is deeply rooted in nature. This will include spectacular horticultural displays, featuring the chrysanthemum, Japan’s national flower – alongside an immersive soundscape inspired by Japan’s rivers, waterfalls, mountains and coast.
