So suddenly my refrigerator stopped making ice in the freezer and is not cooling the fridge. I checked on Google and checked the freezer part, the evaporator fan in freezer compartment is fine and works great, the coils at least in the freezer compartment are totally fine and are very clean. Now the coils behind my refrigerator are totally packed with a metal sheet and there's no chance that dust would have gone in it. Should I still check the coils behind the refrigerator? Also what could it be other than this ? If the coils are clean then is it a compressor problem? If that is the problem how can I know if my compressor has gone bad? And can I repair it myself? I don't want to call a professional due to fear of covid. Every setting is on max but it's still not cooling and freezing ice. Help is very much appreciated.
