Hi Guys,
A little bit about myself, I currently left my old position in July, and will be enrolling in a Cert II In Electro-Technology, and will be looking for an apprenticeship either as an HVAC technician, or electrician skilled trade. And, of course, will be obtaining my manual license in the process.
However, my main question is? What is the job market like for mature age apprentices at the moment? I happen to be 22 years old and have some experience working in the construction industry. So, physically hard work is nothing new to me.
Will be doing my cert II in electrotechnology, and obtaining my manual license as most places require them. Besides, that, I hear the market is random?
For people who have done a mature age apprenticeship? How did you get one? I have thought about doing the Cert II + work experience, apply online, and just call all the companies, I can and hand my resume in person as well.
From personal research, HVAC seems to be the most interesting to me. Due to it being more mechanical in nature.
For people asking where I live it's South Brisbane/Acacia Ridge, and close to the gold coast if that helps, and thinking of going to areas like North Brisbane, Ipswich, and Gold Coast for work.
And, lastly, if anyone knows someone my phone number is 0460 592 768.
