Wikipedia has a list of refrigerants, but how is their efficiency/cooling power actually measured? E.g. one website says that R12 "can blow 6 to 7 degrees cooler than R134a and is 15% more efficient." Where are these figures gotten from? Is there a form of measure for this, is there a rule of thumb of sorts e.g. the more ozone-depleting a refrigerant is the more effective it is at heat transfer/cooling etc.
