Can a TXV maintain constant evaporator pressure like an AXV?

Playing around with a test bench system in the shop and I have plenty of TXVs but no AXV laying around. I want to do some experiments with a constant pressure evaporator.

Is a TXV effectively just an AXV with an added force from the sensing bulb?

In an internally equalized TXV, you have closing force from the evaporator pressure, closing force from the spring, and opening force from the bulb.

So assuming I hold the bulb temperature constant, will the interaction of the spring and equalization pressure then result in a constant evaporator pressure? Thanks
