whats up with all the hvac dudes using staybrite8?

so staybrite8 is 94% tin and the rest silver... tin to my understanding was used in the old old days, 40's 50's style.. So the HVAC guys rave about how great it is, but then they also say it cant be used in certain areas... sorry but in my opine, Tin is for water pipes, not refrigerant. its tin... thats what it is, they are soldering refrigerant lines. Sorry, but if an Hvac tech shows up to my house to install an aircon, and he is using staybrite8, he is getting kicked off the job.
