Control cabinets and scope

Working on the hot side of the kitchen equipment at a large supermarket chain. I see a lot of these Danfoss control cabinets for their walk ins. I also see small displays atop the reach ins. I had several questions. One, are these controllers tied together in anyway? I see a Modbus terminal set on the larger Danfoss controllers but not sure what that is communicating with. Additionally, who specs these out usually? Is it the mechanical contractor? Does mechanical also cover install and commission? I am new to the world of new construction. I have the opportunity to get into this side of the business but want to get a firmer understanding of who handles what scope of a supermarket refrigeration system (new construction or retrofit). submitted by /u/acidhysteria [link] [comments]
