I’m fairly new to the trade and one thing I still struggle with understanding is properly diagnosing a TXV. I hear a lot that “the TXV usually isn’t the problem,” so I want to be careful before pointing to it. My main confusion is knowing whether the problem is with the powerhead or the body of the valve itself. How do you experienced techs go about diagnosing a defective TXV with confidence? Any tips, methods, or rules of thumb you use in the field would be really helpful
