Looking to get into the refrigeration industry, what am I in for?

Hey, I've been looking at the refrigeration industry... I've been doing some research and the industry seems pretty broad - what niches would be wise to look into? What is the biggest challenge?

I've done some plumbing/drain cleaning in the past, general construction and instrumentation.
