Hi,
I recently acquired a True GDM-12 and have done a good amount of learning since to understand how it operates.
I've since learned that the thermostat is plugged directly into the evaporator coil and is not necessarily measuring the air temp in the box.
I've always heard that increasing thermal mass in the fridge will help "stabilize" things. I have a good amount of glass water bottles I plan to use for this purpose, but as I was putting them in the fridge, I started wondering what, if any, impact they'll have in the commercial application. Thought being if the thermostat is being driven by the temp at the end of the evap coil, will the thermal mass only serve to affect the air temp in the box and thus, have no impact on the thermostat and subsequent cycling?
