Leak in system

I have a question and need an opinion. I will get the brand in an hour when I go by my office, but we have a large three door commercial kitchen fridge. A technician came out on Friday and had to add 1 pound of refrigerant, because of a small leak. I was looking back at files and it looks like the same thing was done about a year ago.

I’ve read that a lot of fridges no longer run on R-22, but was wondering about the safety of a leak of 1lb of refrigerant over a year.

I don’t mind paying to fix the leak, but our tech didn’t seem to make a big deal about it?
