I have a commercial one door glass standup freezer in my store. Not sure if I can post here about this but here’s my story. It works good. It’s probably 20 years old the other day everything was freezing and it looked like it was staying on constantly. I called a certain company in Sudbury Ontario and they sent a technician to go diagnose the problem. He calls me and says that it was the timer and that he would track down a timer. I was not there, but my wife said he left and everything was supposed to be fine the next day my wife calls me and tells me that the freezer is at -30 or more and it’s staying that way, I call them back and tell them that it’s still freezing up. The technician calls me back and tells me that it’s probably the thermostat sticking and if so I would need a new thermostat. Problem is why wouldn’t he find this out the first time and just tell me that it’s a timer when the thermostat is having a problem. Also, he told me to turn the thermostat to the left a quarter turn today and see if the temperature goes from -25 and warms up a little bit of which it won’t so I guess it is sticky but now I have to pay another $259 for him to drive out to Capreol and then install the part on top of the 259 for the diagnosis the first time plus his hourly charge and the $275 for the timer something is not right? Any advice appreciated
